I am trying to decide whether to book my flight now for December or wait until nearer the time to see if I can get a cheaper flight. I am a bit nervous waiting until too close just in case they all get booked up. The prices are about £500 each at the moment and I am wondering if they will go down. I want to go on December 27th or 28th and come back on January 6th or 7th.
What would you do????:confused3

I'd book now too.

£500 sounds pretty good for during school holidays.

Have a check on the virgin sale, but we would've paid £480 for March if we were in Economy, so £500 sounds very good for Xmas time.

I think I would book too, the prices for that time of year are always pretty high!

Is that indirect? Looked at Virgin they want around £700.
Unfortunately flights don't get a lot cheaper than £500 in school hols anymore, although you dates run just into the new term(for our area, maybe still hols elswhere) so you could possibly pick up something cheaper.
Basically its a gamble, If the flight times & airports are exactly what I want I would be very tempted at £500, if bad times or not a local airport then I might be tempted to wait.

I would also book them now - especially with the Virgin Atlantic sale now on.

We paid £407 Virgin economy return with miles and money when the flights were released at 11 months. Were flying on a saturday, and their are two virgin flights from Manchester and ours is looking pretty full in economy :scared1:

We booked last year when they first came out to fly last Christmas Day, we paid £500 direct with Virgin. So i'd be happy with £500 this year.

Well, I've taken your advise and I'm all booked. Luckily, I asked a friend who works for BA to see if she could get any good flight prices and she managed to get me flights for £396 woo hoo!!! we snapped it up! :woohoo:
So, now on with the planning.......
Although, I have never flown with BA before and the fact that they are always striking lately is making me a bit nervous.

We booked with Virgin last week for just over £400 for December. BA and Virgin prices have just come down in the last week or so (at last!).

Another great price. Dates we would want 25th Dec~1st Jan are £1008pp in economy, doubt we will be going this December.
