OK. So I am elegible to go on a trip with my club, DECA, which is like a business ed club. The trip is upstate NY, and to stay there for 3 nights during the school week in March. Its like a conference/competition thing. The thing is, it is $350 to go. I turned it down today because $350 is a lot of money! $200 deposit was due today. I came home and told my mom I turned it down. She asked why, and I said $350 bucks is a lot of money mom! Well she says that she would be able to pay, in her own words she said "Well I have the money to pay for it now." I said, well maybe next year. She said "Well maybe I won't have the money next year."

She said that If I decided to go that she would call. I said NO. It's to much money and that's where the convo left off.

What should I do?

PS_I would be the only freshman going.

Well, if your mom is willing to pay, and tells you it is okay, then maybe you should go. This may be the only chance you get, so you if your mom is allowing you to go, maybe you should.

btw...where in upstatte NY are you going? I live in upstate NY

Rochester.

Oh, that's not to far from where I live. Is that where your competitions are?:)

You should totally do it!
It's actually a better price than most of the things I've seen around here for those kind of trips.

I say go for it!
If your mom is offering also and she has the money.
Just make sure if you do to give your mom a great big hug and tell her thank you! :D (Although I'm sure you would anyways.)

Expecially if you've never been, it may be the only chance you get.

Yea, it actually is a better price then most trips like that nowadays. You should go for it!

OK---It’s a done deal. Actually, only if my advisor lets me bring in the $200 deposit tomorrow since it was due today…=/
I said I will only agree to go only if you let me pay $150 of it. My mom said well maybe if you work more around the house. I said, OK, but I still want to pay $100-150. So it looks alright now. Thank you guys!

Well, have a great time! Glad we could help you!

Pretend that the trip was free

Would you still want to go?

If you feel that you would benefit from the trip and you would have fun GO

If you really don't care about going then don't bother

Whoops this is a little late

Well this is my advice if you ever have a tough decision to make

I still dont know how I feel about being the only freshman going though.

well basically..... FRESHMEN (CLASS OF 2011) RULES.... so you can't get much cooler than that

and uhh TO HECK WITH IT! can you say BIG HUGE SOCIAL PARTTYY!! The traveling to the destination is the best part of the trip!!!
