I have these bumps on my leg. They are red and ***** (full of puss if that gets censored). They are itching and painful.

What do you think they are?

Sounds like it could be folciulitus (not sure on spelling). That is the infection of hair folicals. My friend gets that when she has been in a hot tub.

Don't rely on people on the internet who are looking at a fuzzy picture to give you a diagnosis. It could be any number of things; some serious, some not. Call a dermatologist. Today.

I'm going to the Dr tomorrow. I just threw away my sheets because I'm afraid it might be bed bugs.

Have you been swimming in a public pool, hot tub, water park recently? Doesn't even need to be recently but perhaps you've just started noticing that they are really spreading?

I got spa/pool foliculitis like a PP mentioned. But didn't realize it was anything till it started spreading everywhere. At first it was just one bump filled with pus and then took forever to heal. And it left a temporary (couple of months) scar. But for me it was spreading to the places that I shaved. Underarms, legs.

I did go to a dermatologist like someone else mentioned and I would also recommend that. But in the meantime you could try what he told me. Hibiclens. It is an actibacterial wash used at hospitals and by healthcare workers that kills germs. It is red and very thin. I would wash my body with it in the shower and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing and i would use it as my body wash while shaving. You can get it at CVS. Usually it is at the very bottom of the shelf. Near the hydrogen peroxide I think. It should be less than $10.

Now everytime I use a public pool or water park I wash with it. And I've used it to wash my kids when they've gotten weird skin reactions. And I told their DR about it and they said that was a good precautionary measure.

Sorry to write a novel. But it took me many months to get an answer and hope to save you some time.

Best of luck!:goodvibes

picture is way too blurry to tell..it doesn't look like bed bugs though and bed bugs don't die when you throw the sheets away..they live on the mattress.

Ugh. I gotta throw away my mattress too.

No, I haven't been in a pool or spa lately. I went to AK last week. I wonder if it's from a ride or something.

I got something like that last year when we were at WDW. Someone said it was from the hot pavements that you walk on all day. I got mine about the 4th day we were there. I saw it on a few people. There use to be a thread about it on here. Maybe someone can find it for you.

I can't see the Dr until tomorrow. What should I do in the meantime?

I was thinking about squirting some breast milk onto it. I don't know if it will help but it can't hurt, can it?

I've already taken a placenta capsule and eaten moldy cheese. What else can I do? :confused3

No, I don't have any advice for what's wrong with your leg. The only thing I've ever seen is cellulituce, which you'd need to get a shot in the butt and on antibiotics for a week. But that's generally one large raised area. Looks like a mosquito bite at first then can quickly grow to the size of your hand.

But your other responses sound a bit reduntant.

Is this for real? Tiger

I mean really why would you do that? This is a little crazy. Even if you are looking for home remadies:rotfl2:

I had a painful itchy rash that ended up being flea bites. They never spread any farther than my legs, my ankles to my knees. The only thing that took some of the pain away was a warm bath and then I would wipe my legs with a cotton ball with listerine. Not an off brand either. Only Listerine worked. It sounds crazy but it worked. Good luck.
