Help, we leave tomorrow, can we put up lights?

I know I have read this before but it's been awhile and to be perfectly honest I don't have time to go back through all the pages and find it again.

Is it OK to hang lights on your patio/balcony at your resort? We are staying at GF and need to know if we can bring lights and also is there a plug out there or do you run an extension?

Help! We love to put up lights and don't want to be the only ones down there without any!

I will be putting up lights at the VWL and the BCV when I am there in about 9 days. I have heard from other DVc owners that this is common at the DVC resorts. Can't say if it is or not at the GF.

I've also heard that many DVCers put up lights. I suspect the reason that fewer people in the regular hotels do is that the regular hotel rooms often don't have a balcony.

Does anyone know what the rules are about *candles* in Disney resorts and the Swan/Dolphin? I'll be there over Hannukah (and the Jewish sabbath.) I'll feel guilty if I don't light candles, but I don't want to get in trouble.

[color=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/color], I say go for it. It is much harder for them to risk upsetting a guest by telling them to take the lights down than to tell you no.

Oh, and JudyS, my DW had a Yortzite candle in the room at the BCV, and we even mentioned it to a manager not to blow it out. I would assume as long as you stay in the room while the Menorah is lit you will be fine. As I said above, Do it, they won't tell you no especially if the will risk a religious offense to a guest that could turn into a PR nightmare...think about it...
