Help! We leave in 3 days and I have a cold!

Ok-I'm willing to do anything here. I SO don't want to be feeling yucky this weekend when we're at WDW. It's not going to help much that part of the weekend forecast calls for rain.

Please please please share your best advice for minimizing or stopping a cold right when it starts. Thanks so much!!

Take 2 enchincea and get some Zicam swabs quick! It will shorten the duration of your cold. Good luck!

Zicam swabs! Don't get the lozenges or spray (BLECH! PTOOEY! ). Take it faithfully.

I just tried Mucinex for my latest cold, and that stuff worked wonders on clearing me up. It's a little pricey, but worth it.

I can relate to how you feel. I got chicken pox over a week before our trip last year. When the doctor told me what it was, I cried all day. Fortunately, it was a mild case and it wasn't contagious by the time we were leaving, so I got lucky. I wasn't sick when we got there, but I was SO WEAK. We just took it easy and took rest breaks in our resort during the afternoon.

Just take it easy the next couple of days and take it slow the first day you get there. You'll probably feel right as rain by then!

I use the Zicam and double up on my dosage of 24 hour Claritin D tablets.
