We can't decide which hotel to stay at. We are looking at the port orleans french side our the corando. We have 2 boys ages 12 and 10. We just don't know which one.

we loved coronado & the kids loved the pool(s),water slide & hot tub!!!

the pepper market was nice cause it had TONS of choices & you know kids..lol

Im sure no mater what you go with..they will love it..heck its disney!!

We have stayed at both. They are equally beautiful. With the age of your boys I would stay at Coronado Springs.

POFQ is a very small compact resort with a nice pool, but the theming of the pool at CSR would probably interest you kids more. CSR is larger in size, but your boys are old enough to handle it. The bussing at CSR is much better.

Good luck on your decision!

We have stayed at both resorts and enjoyed them both for different reasons. My kids are 8 and 12. Port Orleans is smaller, and has the boat that takes you to Downtown Disney which was fun for my kids. At my kid's ages, they preferred the pool at CS because the slide is a little bigger. CS is larger and requires more walking. I would return to either resort in a minute! Have fun!!

What about Coronado makes it *special*. I have our reservations made for POFQ (we've been there before). Loved the small quaintness of it. Loved the boat to DTD. Loved the pathway we could walk next to the river. Now, saying that, these are the things my DH and I loved. The kids really didn't care.

I have to say, we and the were underimpressed with the pool. A bit to *kiddie* for us I guess. Neither of them went on the slide.

So...this year they are 14 and 11. What would make us like Coronado better? I'm really interesed, perhaps we should change. It just didn't look that special on the Disney board.

Have stayed at CSR and POR(not POFQ) but walked around POFQ. I think because your kids are older than mine, they would enjoy the bigger pool area/slide more at CSR. CSR is also a bigger resort with more walking, which your kids shouldn't mind too much considering their ages. When my kids are older, we plan on going back to CSR; I loved it.popcorn:: :yay:

I think Coronado is the way to go with your boys ages. They will like the pool a lot more. I also believe I have read somewhere that they are rehabbing the pool at POFQ but I don't know how long or when they will have it down. I do know however that there are pool hopping priviledges between POFQ and Port Orleans Riverside which has a pretty good pool for that age group.

I've stayed at both. I'm not fond of CSR, but then I don't like Southwest decor or the desert. I do love POFQ. It's small, has a secluded hot tub (kids don't tend to hang out in it), and a boat ride to DTD which is very relaxing (quieter than the bus).
