Help wanted

Hello all I am new to this forum and have a question that I hope someone can answer:

I have got a Post Office prepaid Mastercard (Dollars) and wanted to know if the Parks accept this in there stores/Dinners not just ATM's as it is not a Credit Card, so in short has any one used one @ DW before?

sorry i don't have your answer, as i've only used credit cards, but i'm pretty sure debit cards are accepted everywhere at disney.

but hopefully, someone else here will answer you.

i know lots of people here use them. In fact, the vast majority here seem to use debit cards.

yes it is accepted everywhere just like a credit card, as it has mastercard on it we have a fairfx card and have used that for the past few years with no problems.

Hi and welcome to the boards.

I sell the TravelEx card similar if not the same as the Post Office one and have used it myself no problem in Disney.

We've also used the Fairfx one no probs at Disney.

Warning however I know others have had probs when using this type of card as the 'Hotel Deposit' against extras etc - as this will automatically put a reserve on the card for about $500 (not sure on the figure), which won't clear for probably a couple of weeks after you leave.

We also had a problem in a local shop where when using last $100 on card cashier made an error and cancelled transaction - when they went to re-use the card the original $100 authorisation was still held and didn't clear for several weeks, meaning we couldn't use that card & were left with $100 on it at end of holiday. Not too much of a prob for us as we had other means of paying with us, and we're regular visitors so can use up credit still on card at next visit. (I'm personally seeing it as 'free' extra spending money for this years trip)

It hasn't put us off using at all - you just need to be careful. Have a great holiday.

We used the Post Office Mastercards last September and used them everywhere except for one place in DTD, I think it was the place that sells the bath and soap stuff. When I phoned up to check my balances I was told that that particular outlet didn't accept them. That was the only problem in 3 weeks and we used them a lot in and outside Disney.

Yes it's a mastercard so accepted most places, I have one also

I used to have a fairfx card before they robbed me of $400 and refused to help. They're great...until something goes wrong, then they have the worst ever customer service.
