Hi! I was looking at renting an All Star Vacation home that I found on allears.net

I like the condos at Windsor Hills. I was wondering if anyone has stayed there and could give me some feedback. I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on it. I'm especially interested in how long it takes to get to WDW and how much of a headache it will be. The last few times we have stayed at Downtown Disney.

Here is my travel info--
mid-July trip
8 people--me, husband, my mom and dad, my brother and my three littles--ages--4 and twins that will be 14 months.

We just got back from a stay at Windsor Palms. I think Windsor Hills is a tad closer to the Parks. We found it very easy to get from our house to WDW and loved having the extra space for less money. We rented from All Star and they were great. We definitely going to rent from them next year and I want to try Windsor Hills since it's a little newer than Windsor Palms.

ask this one onthe Orlando board -- several WH owners and renters frequent it!

We'll be staying at Gigha villa in March there!

We stayed at WH this past May and absolutely LOVED it! The closeness to the parks is AMAZING! Plus it's close to many off-site restauranst and a great grocery store. When you turn out of WH you drive about 1 1/2 miles to Rte 192, turn right and then drive about 3/4 mile to a the exit for Disney! The longest drive is to DTD and the water parks (10-12 minutes). All the other parks are about 5-7 minutes to their entrance. We plan to stay there again this fall/winter!

Definitely check the Orlando Attractions/Offsite board because there is a ton of info on Windsor Hills. We stayed there this past July in a large pool home. We have done that several times and we love the space, extra t.vs', and best of all our own pool.

Windsor Hills has condos, townhouses and pool homes. The townhouses have their own "splash pools" which are small pools and a patio area. The condos use the large community pool which is very nice.

Everyone at Windsor Hills can use the community pool and all of the ammenities. There is a fitness room, small game room, playground, b-ball courts and a private movie theater.

The website of www.windsorhillsrent.com is one that many people use to check out rates and availability of units at WH. Just be prepared for a lot of replies!

We stay at Windsor Hills on December and loved it. We would definitely stay there again. Most units are owned by different people, so I guess that would vary depending on who you rented from and who they hire as a management company.
We had a 2bedroom on the mainfloor and I have to say that I'm glad I didn't have any stairs to walk up after the long days at the parks.
Windsor Hills is very close to the parks and only take a couple of minutes to get to World Drive.

We stayed at WH last March and it was fabulous. We overlooked the pool which was beautiful a bit noisy until 10 (just chatter). The condo was beautiful 3 bed/2 bath, washer/dryer, full kitchen. All the buildings have elevators and I think are 3 or 4 stories I think. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Beautiful resort feel with the comforts of home. My kids loved having their own room with a TV. Great for relaxing. Unfortunately we got sick at the beginning of the trip, fever for 3 days and flu like symptoms. I was so happy that we were not all crowded in a hotel room. I layed in my bed and read a book for 3 days. DS 11 also was sick and layed in his bed and watched tv. DH took DS 7 to the pool. I was great to have the space. I loved not coming home with a heap of laundry to do too. Check out VRBO.com. Renters often have listings on there as well as other sites. Might get it a bit cheaper.

Good luck.:cheer2:

We stayed at WH for SIXTEEN DAYS right around Thanksgiving and it was PERFECT. We're going back to WDW March 1 - 8 and are only staying at Nick Hotel because I have 5 free nights. Even still - the two nights I'm paying for at Nick will cost about $550, which would probably pay for four or fine nights at WH.

It's VERY close to the parks. We were from the condo to MK in less than 10 minutes. MGM is slightly closer, EP and AK slightly more, I think.

Have fun!
