We will be flying to Oklahoma in about a month. My SIL passed away last week and due to DH teaching and the kids having exams, etc., we can't make it down for the Memorial Service on Friday. We are going to go for a few days at the end of June/1st of July. However, the prices are outragous and a lot of the flights are long, having 2 stops/plane changes or leave very early in the morning, (which I would like to avoid).
I have looked at our local airport, as well as RDU and Greensboro. Does anyone think it would be worth a 3-4 hour drive to check out Washington or Charlotte? We are staying over a Saturday. I have checked Travelocity and Expedia, ect.
