Hi

I told my husband to get some travellers cheques from Marks & Spencers cause their rates are good and with no commission. I had previously bought some for myself to sign and have always got American Express Travellers Cheques.

So what does DH come home with but VISA Travellers cheques, a type that I have never seen before. Considering we have been to Florida FOUR times and always used AE travellers cheques, he did not even bother to ask the sales staff if the Visa ones can be used the same way as the AE ones (like cash in the US).

Does anyone know if we need to go to a bank to change the Visa travellers cheques? Please help, I'm very annoyed with DH at the moment.

Just as long as the TCs are in US $ denominations it doesn't matter who issues them. Amex or VISA TCs will be equally accepted.

Hi Rob

Thanks for the quick reply. They are in US $ denominations, thank goodness. Feel much better now. DH will thank you too! :teeth:

You could make him sweat for a little while longer and get some concessions out of him. An extra day's shopping while in Orlando perhaps...

Regards

Rob

Hi Sue

I worried about the same thing, but I checked this with M & S and as said they can be used everywhere as they are Visa.

I am buying mine from M & S next weekend.
