Help-virgin Seat Booking

Does anyone know if you can still book your seats online from 336 days out? We are due to fly 1/2/10 and I've tried off and on for the last 2 days to get on to book our seats and it keeps saying it "cannot retrieve my booking". Anyone else have problems lately or is it just me (as usual!!!)

BTW Virgin refers to the airline not to my holiday booking skills!

Think you can only book from the return date, you will need to phone VH to get a booking ref. no.

Yes if a return flight can only book/pre-assign seats 336 days before return journey.

You can only pre request seats online if you've booked direct with VA - with VH you can only do it 2 weeks before you fly now.

The Indian call centre tell you the 2 week story but if you manage to speak to someone in the UK they say otherwise!

There were a couple of threads about this the other week, there seem to be quite a few people who can't get in to manage their flights at the 336 window, we should have been able to access our booking at the beginning of February but it took until March until we could access it. We booked with VH and even with a new booking locator couldn't get in. In the end a very nice lady at VA booked our seats for us ~ she said they have been having problems with their website and we should be able to get into our booking soon. Within a few days we were able to and with our original booking reference no. too, so hopefully you should be able to get in soon.

Waaaahhhhhh? Starting to think maybe VH are no longer the great service they once were......
