HELP! VDay

Ok so I need a bit of advice!

I am once again single. I have this habbit of whenever I'm single I like to do things/get things for people that I like on Valentines Day.

Last time I did this I got things for 3 of my coworkers, i made cookies, gave them each a flower and a card. For some reason I can't think of anything to do this year and plus the person that I like lives in another state.

I know that I have no chance at all with her, because she lives 3000 miles away and because she is straight. But I kinda want to get her something.
I'm thinkin maybe a card and a Starbucks gift card. I don't want to seem like a total weirdo and get her a bunch of stuff/send a box of something.

Do you have any ideas?

Unless you are getting her something solely because she is a friend, with no romantic overtones, don't get her anything. You've said she's in another state and straight, so anything other than an absolutely generic type of gift would be uncalled for.

If you don't want to repeat the cookies for your coworkers (though that sounds fine to me) maybe brownies? As for the girl you like, just a card, but not an overly romantic one, sounds appropriate. If you really want to give her something, then maybe a potted plant. This way you can give her flowers without seeming like you're trying to come on to her. I once got one from a friend I had a crush on (so it's kind of the opposite story) and I really liked it. I felt that she cared about me, but it didn't give me any false hope.
