Hi there, I've come here to seek some help.

Recently, this came into my possession from an odds-and-ends shop in a town nearby, and I can find little to no trace of this particular release online, and therefore could really use a hand finding out whether it is legit, and if it is... just how rare it is.

It is number 3 of 300, a framed, sealed Pin, image and film cell set... the film cells look very much like negatives rather than colors, and the whole thing looks quite old.
There is a signed certificate of authenticity on the back of the set, and here are some pictures of both to help.

Finally, here are the pictures!
The front:

The back:

Sorry about the light reflections, if someone requests clearer images, they can be uploaded easily.

I would really appreciate any advice that anyone here could give me :3

Thanks so much in advance!

Post the pictures on Flickr or Imageshack then just post the links to the pictures on this page.

I'm afraid I cannot do that. I know full well how to post the images on a forum.
The problem is that the site will not allow me to post images, or links at all.

Maybe because you recently joined and only have 3 posts? Let me see what I can figure out based upon your description.

Can you send me a PM? Since you're new, I'm not sure if PMs are activated yet for you?

Yes, that is indeed the reason. It asks me to reach ten posts before I can post either.

And I am uncertain, I shall try now. :3

EDIT: Nope, apparently I am not even allowed to do that when under 10 posts. Goodness me this forum likes to make it hard for people who want to just get a value on a collectible.

Still, at this rate I shall get to ten posts just discussing it :3 any other details I can post about it that would be helpful? Please, ask for details, give me an excuse to get my post count up! XD

Just go to the "Test" subforum of Tech Support (near the very bottom of the forums list) and post away to get your count up.

Thank you, I am doing so now, and therefore the images will be edited into the first post very shortly.

EDIT: Scratch that, it doesn't count towards my post count when I post there.
Anyone have a plan B?

Alrighty then, I shall just periodically reply to my own thread then, not spamming, but building my post count by attempting to add more details about the item, so that I am not wasting time completely.

I stall start by describing the pin that is in it, as a lot of people here seem interested in pins, and may be able to help me identify the set based on that.

The pin is in a circular indent in the centre(ish) of the piece, and appears to be mickey, dressed in his sorcerer's apprentice robes, and the sorcerer's hat, holding a wand high over his head, with his hands up, it appears that he is in the pose he moves into right before casting a spell for the first time on the broom.

Coming in my next post a few days from now... a detailed description of the text in the plaque on the piece :3

Next count-boosting post XD I am being careful to spread these out so that they can't be considered spam D:
Nearly there now, and then I can post pictures so that we can all move on with this thing!
Okay, so, the plaques... there are two on this piece. The first one, in a circular indent in the card in the top right hand corner of the piece, reads 'LIMITED EDITION 3/300' with a simple, circular line border.
The second, larger plaque, is rectangular, in the bottom left corner, with the same simple line border, and the text inside it reads. "FANTASIA. This Limited Edition Presentation contains a Walt Disney World pin of Mickey as 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' and a strip of 35mm film from the Movie'

Don't know if that helps at all, but that's exactly what they say :3

Next time :D Pictures finally!

Aaand here we go, just making this post to boost my count to ten, and then I shall edit the pictures into the first post.

PS, sorry for the delay, got busy for a while.
Anyhow, onto editing those pictures in!

Anything that I have gotten from Disney that was a limited and numbered edition (other than pins only) identified that it was produced by The Walt Disney Company or some other source for the authentication. What you have shown does not seem to have a copyright Disney indication anywhere on it; ether side or the certificate.

I agree with the PP. We collect cells and Disney always has a seal on the cell. It looks like to the bottom right is a movie clip of about 3 frames. I remember them coming out in many different movies. I think the movie clips were selling for $25 to $75.
The print on top left looks like it is a Xerox print to me not a real cell.

If I had to but a retail value on this I would say $75 to maybe $125.

Hope this helps
