My dd is there just now. She's text me to say that she can't get the 'free wifi' to work. Now, not an issue for me, I'd go to reception or just do without, but for a 15 year old it's akin to having her arm cut off.....

Anyone know if there is anything she might be missing? I've just read a couple of reviews of the hotel and they've mentioned problems logging into the wifi, but they don't mention how they got it working in the end.

Any ideas ?

They might need a code, I know we have had to get one before in certain hotels.

Best asking at reception :thumbsup2

Thanks Carrie, I've suggested she do this, but she's not overly confident, so doubt she'll go down herself. ;)

Hi
We were there half term it only works in the public areas not your room. You now need to get a code from reception (last time we went you didn't). Give me a min to log into my of I'm trying to type in my iPod. I'll pm you the code we were given.

Thanks :thumbsup2

She's just text to say that they did go to reception and were told it might take a while to work as they were 'working on something', so might be a technical hitch. Their website says that free wifi should be throughout the hotel :confused3

Its a few years since I was there but I definitely got Wifi in the rooms and didnt need a code or anything - it was just automatic connection

Yes apologies we normally stay at the Kyriad but stayed at the explorers this time! Explorers is password and only public places.

Last time we stayed at the Kyriad it did work in our room and we didn't need a password.

Shouldn't try and read posts at same time as the match lol.

A ?

We are staying there yet again and i will have two 15yr old girls with me so i understand the trauma:scared1::sad2: and the thing about not going to reception funny age;)

I stayed at the Kyriad in April this year and whilst we could get the WiFi in the room at certain times (like early mornings), at peak times it was next to useless. Your DD may find that is the problem. I can't remember if we needed a code or not, we were only there a couple of nights tagged onto a stay and hotel in Paris (where we did need a code but it worked brilliantly in the room at any time).
