We are going to Disney World in Oct of 2018. For the majority of the trip we will be staying at the Poly, but the last 2 nights we want to stay somewhere new. We have it down to a deluxe room club level at WL or a 2 bdrm villa at BC. Which would you recommend? We have 4 kids ages at the time will be 17, 14, 10 & 7.

I'd do the BC just because it's on the other side of Disney-closer to epcot and HS! That'll be convenient for that side!

Beach club. Great pool. Close enough to walk to EPCOT and DHS. you'll probably do more of the MK with your stay at the poly.

I prefer the Epcot resort area over the MK monorail line, since you can walk so many places. I'd definitely go with the Beach Club.

That being said, I wouldn't like the idea of packing up and moving - you essentially lose a great portion of the day. A villa won't be ready for check in until the afternoon likely. I prefer to get settled in and not move, if I can do so (there have been trips when that wasn't possible though).

BC, can't beat the location and there is a good chance F&W will be going on at that time

Couple of different angles for me. I've stayed in a Deluxe Room at WL. It's not going to be anywhere close in size to a 2BR villa. We had four and felt it was VERY tight. Everything about the rooms at WL is small - including those Deluxe Rooms. If you're concerned about room size at all, I'd rule out WL Deluxe Room.

Separately, just in terms of "something different" after being at a MK area resort, I'd vote for BC. I tacked on a night at BC after a week at Poly last July and I felt it was the perfect split.

Never stayed at WL, but the BC is my absolute favorite resort! Can't beat the proximity to Epcot and DHS and that pool is the best on property. We spend every afternoon of our trip at Stormalong Bay.

My two favorite places to stay. Have DVC points at VWL and that is our winter place, and then go to BC for our late May trips. As the majority of your stay is at Poly I'd go with the BC. Good pool weather is likely and I'd just suggest you have your nights were you spend the evening at Epcot or HS be the nights you are staying at BC for the convenient walk home. WL is a great place though, and if the rest of your stay was not on the monorail I'd say it is just as good if not a better option.

I would definitely go with BCV. It is in the Epcot area which would be a nice change and you would have a great 2 bedroom villa. Plus access to Storm Along Bay.

A Poly and BC split stay is one of our favourite combos for a deluxe Disney stay!! It is the best of both 'worlds'.

Enjoy!

BC! You get the best of both WDW locations. MK resort and EPCOT resort. We love walking to EPCOT and DS from the EPCOT resorts. Plus your kids will LOVE the pool at BC!

Took the words right out of my mouth! If you're looking for a different experience, BC for sure. Poly and WL are both considered MK resorts, so it would be a nice change to stay at an Epcot resort for your last 2 nights.

Either WL CL or BC 2 br Villa will be AWESOME so enjoy either way!!

I agree with all the others. Nothing better than a MK/EP resort split IMHO! And the 2-bedroom villa is a LOT bigger than the WL deluxe room.

BC. You get to experience the Epcot area resorts vs the MK area (even thought WL isn't on the monorail, it's in the same vicinity). I really do think a split stay between the MK area and Epcot area is the best of both worlds.

On top of that: I'd stay at BC over WL any day (even WL club level). A villa at BC will give you *way more room*. You also get SAB, which for your age kids will be amazing if they like pool time. You are also incredibly close to Epcot and pretty close to DS, AND you can walk to Boardwalk area food/entertainment options.

Thank you everyone for all the perspectives! I was leaning towards BC for a lot of the reasons brought up (stormalong bay being at the top of the list) so you all helped make it that much easier. Thanks so much!!

I was torn between the same two resorts. We had never stayed at either one. WL has great theming, convenient to MK and was cheaper than BC. But ultimately I went with BC for location and pool. I have two teenagers and I think it will be more fun for them.

I also agree--BC. I love WL, but since you'll already be spending time at a MK resort, may as well check out an Epcot resort too. :) The vibe is totally different and fun. I used to be a die hard MK resort person... until I stayed at YC. My allegiance has now changed to Epcot resorts.

The BC would be the better choice. Great pool and the location can't be beat. After staying at the BC, you may prefer the Epcot resorts because of the location to Epcot and HS.
