I've seen previous discussions on the board about the pros and cons of dedicated 2BR's vs lockoff units....but alas I wasn't paying attention and can't find any recent threads with this specific topic.

Could someone enlighten me? I am mostly interested in finding out where there are 2BR's which have the two Queen beds rather than one Queen and a pull-out. Do these only exist at BCV , VWL and OKW? Are there any at Boardwalk? The answer from Member Services today was no, but I want to confirm that with folks on the board.

I have reserved a standard 2BR for next April just to conserve some points for later trips, but if there was a possibility of a dedicated 2BR with 2 Queens at BWV I would be willing to give up more points.

Thanks in advance for your help.

A lock-off is literally and one-bedroom and a studio where the connecting door is opened. The second bedroom has all the attributes of a studio at the resort (1 bed and couch at most, 2 queens at OKW).

A dedicated 2 bedroom is always a second bedroom. They usually have 2 queens in the second bedroom and do not have the kitchenette. Some dedicated 2 bedrooms at BCV are not set up this way due to a problem during construction. If you want 2 queens here you have to specifically book that type of room.

I'm not positive on what is available at BWV. I don't think they have any dedicated 2 bedrooms but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, there aren't any at BWV or WLV. The second bedrooms there have the pull out sofa bed. I was told there are a limited number of dedicated 2 bedrooms (with 2 queen beds) at BCV and I know there are 2 queen beds in the second bedroom at OKW.

That gives with what I thought I had heard previously and what Member Services told me today, but I just want to make sure. I haven't made so many reservations that I'm an expert yet. I keep thinking I'm missing some important detail.

Thanks again.

BWV has no dedicated 2 bedrooms, so all have the queen & double pullout in the second bedroom. I thought VWL had some dedicated 2 bedrooms with the 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom.

I've just checked the photos of VWL on Suite Disney's site and there's certainly one second bedroom with two beds in it, because she's taken a picture of it!

I had a dedicated 2 bedroom when I was there a few years back and have that reserved for the trip coming up in August, both at the VWL. There are 2 Q's or doubles (can't remember) in the second bedroom - we didn't want a pullout - we figured they are uncomfortable as most pull-outs are.....

Good luck!!

We were at VWL last August in a dedicated 2br and the 2nd br had 2 queen beds in it.

Hi Michelle -

The other big difference with a lockoff vs. a dedicated, is the 2nd entrance/exit for the kids to sneak out of!

We'll be back in February, so it looks like we'll miss you next time around.

Enjoy
Sandy
