Hi.. My family is planing a trip to Tampa with a stop over at Disney world in August (11-19).
I thought it would be nice to take my nephews (5,and almost 2) and my daughter (almost 3) to a character breakfast.
The problem came because I was going to do a princess one for my daughter but I don't think my nephew would appreciate that too much..lol
I have been to disney a couple of times but have never done the character dinning.
I want to put a rest. that would apeal to both genders as well as their age group.
I was thinking Breakfast at Chef Mickey's.. Is this a good pick?

I highly recommend O'hana at the Poly. My niece and nephew love this place. Usually we see stitch, lilo, mickey, pluto and sometimes either goofy or chip-n-dale. The food is always good and hot with eggs, bacon, sausage, mickey waffles, and the favorite pineapple bread. They bring it to your table family style and you can order more if you want too.

I was going to say O'hana also. I haven't been there, but I have read so many good things about it. I plan to try it on our next trip.

We like Chef Mickey's. It is a party like atmosphere with Mickey and the gang. It is a buffet and there is a lot to choose from. We also enjoyed 'Ohana with Lilo and Stitch. Pluto was there as well as Mickey. I agree that the food was good and it was hot, brought to you instead of taking turns getting up for food. My family enjoyed all of the antics between Stitch and Pluto.

O'Hana was very good! It was Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. The characters came around a couple of times, DD did the parade 2x. The food comes out family style so no walking around to a buffet.

WOW!! THank you so much for all the responses so far!! I really appreciate it!! I am going to show this to my sister so we can pick.
What is the best time to try to get?

I would also pick Ohana! It is a very good breakfast and Stitch is hilarous!

You could also do Playhouse disney hollywood and Vine at MGM it has the cast from Little Einstiens and JoJo's circus. or I would do Chef Mickey's we didn't like the food for dinner but I have heard the breakfast is really good. Also I think they would like O'hana.

We took DS last year to Hollywood & Vine with JoJo and the Little Einstein's and Crystal Palace with Pooh & Friends. He was 2.5 at the time and just loved them both. Both had wonderful character interaction. We are doing H&V again in September and will be going to CP for Dinner...they left such a great impression!

Went to CM last trip for first time and was so excited.......very disappointed, character interaction was minimal. Went to Ohana breakfast even though I wasn't thrilled with dinner there, and so had low expectations........was probably one of the best for relaxing meal and great character interaction. Some came twice and they were always getting together and taking large group photos with families. Cape May was fine, plenty of food, no rush and characters came twice. Was going to Park Fare but missed it (locked myself out of room :headache: ) and really wanted to try it too. CRT for lunch was awesome and going back again. This fall for new I am trying Donald's Breakfast, Norway Princess, CP dinner (been a long time), LTT dinner and Garden Grill dinner. I think I will be quite over character meals after that ;)

I have always heard CM is better at b-fast time. We are planning on CM for dinner in Sept. Have you been for dinner?

We've been for both breakfast and dinner many times. I personally like breakfast better just because I am a picky eater. Most of the items on the dinner buffet just don't appeal to me but I do find plenty to eat ! Their desserts are great at dinner and they have lots and lots of choices along with an ice cream machine. We always have a great time there.

I would do Cape May, the food is awesome and the characters spend alot of time with you because the place is not busy. There is Goofy, Minnie and Chip/Dale in their bathing suits. The characters are very interactive, they color and draw with you on the paper tablecloths

I love the Crystal Palace. It is one of my must dines on every trip. Food is great here!! Have dined here for all 3 meals and found dinner to be the best, with breakfast next and then lunch.

I agree with MickeyNicki Cape May is great they have a great variety of food its a bit more laid back and you never feel rushed in there and you are right by Epcot and MGM out the back door.
