Help trying to figure out if I got a deal with discount code

I am trying to figure out if I am getting a good deal or not with the new discount. I had booked a room only for 2 rooms at POP, AAA rate, Jan 11-21. My room total was $1530 for both rooms. I hadnt bought tickets yet, but Disney said that 10 day base tickets were $239 for adults and $200 for kids. I am guessing this is without tax. Price would have been $3170 without tax on the tickets (dont know what the tax rate is).

I now have 2 rooms at POP, the first 6 nights are on the package, the last 4 are AAA rate (due to some blackout dates). We have 10 day park tickets with the hopper/water park feature. My new price is $3218. I am just trying to figure out where my great deal is. Some people are posting hundreds of dollars in discounts.

The tickets are upgraded. You are getting the water park and hopper added for very little increase in total cost.

okay- so I guess when people are putting in huge savings amounts they are just totaling up the cost of the ticket difference?

I think the "huge" $$$ discounts are when people compare the rack rate and normal ticket prices with the discounted package price. I think this must be the case because it didn't seem to be a huge savings for us over our AAA discount on the room only reservation we were holding. The upgrade to the tickets is about $45/ticket for the "hoppers" and $50/ticket for the "water parks, fun and more" so you will save on the tickets (I think). You can check out other discounted ticket prices on UT to compare rates.

It depends on what the particular code deal is, I originally was quoted, by Disney $2250 for 6 nights at POR for two people with 7 day park hopper, no water parks and the dining plan for Nov.14-20 2007

I then tried AAA and they saved me $250 on the exact same package.
then a code came out in Sept. I believe it was that was basically 40% off the room rate, I rebooked that with Disney for a total cost, same package of $1666. There was another plan that just ended a week or so ago, but the savings were not as great so I left it alone.
But as you can see I save a lot over the 2250 they first quoted.
