After I had everything planned and budgeted out, our computer got wiped AND we decided to go for APs. So now the debate is DDP or TIW. We have used DDP before and really enjoyed it. We can eat a lot on vacation and I like to get my money's worth.

So I am looking for inpput and pros/cons of using TIW. It si 75 with the regular AP, right? It will be me and DH, 5 yr old DD and 2 yr old DS (who can almost eat more than his sister). For a few of the TS we will also have the ILs with us.

So far I have reservations for:
Boma
Le Cellier
Chef Mickey's
Whispering Canyon
Hollywood & Vine
CRT

If we do TIW I think I may add the Fantasmic Dinner package as well.

Any thoughts, suggestions??

TIA!!!!

Ahh. This may be a deal breaker. TIW can't be used on Mother's Day, which is our AK day. I was planning on going to Boma and Flame Tree that day.

I'd still like your thoughts though.

The pros to the TIW are that you could use it with a party of up to 10 people and the discount is off alcohol as well

The cons to the TIW:
--TIW can't be used for packages--so you wouldn't be able to use it for a Fantasmic dinner package--but you can use a DDP for it.
--TIW can't be used on Holidays

DDP--is worth it when you have children under 10 on it, you're dining on holidays, you're using it for packages, you're going to lots of character meals, etc.

We've done TIW when we were traveling with another family, eating lots of buffets, having alcoholic drinks--worked out great for that trip.

We've done DDP when we were traveling over holidays, doing packages--like Fantasmic or the Candlelight Processional, dining during 'peak' season, and doing character meals. It worked out great for those trips.

You can't use TIW for a discount on the Fantasmic package.

Would you be doing another trip on your AP? The more trips you do and the more you eat at Disney the better a deal the TIW membership is.

We use AP's and the TIW meets our needs, wants very well. We're more "wing it" people with a few ADR, also we go 2-3 times a year when we get the AP's. But, having said that, with the holiday and the way your family likes to eat, I would say you would probably be better off with the DDP. We are light eaters and it's way too much food for us. Enjoy your trip :goodvibes
