Hi guys.. Well, I am getting ready to leave on Tuesday morning for Disney to marry my prince next Saturday.. and I have a few questions regarding tipping..

I was wondering if you did or did not tip the following people, and if so.. what is the average tipping $$$

Florist
Photographer
Officiant
Limo
Disney DJ
Disney Hair
Disney Make-up

Please help.. so lost on this stuff and I am running out of time.

Thanks
Jamie

Hi Jamie,
I would like to know the answer to this also.... not so sure for the officiant, florist and photographer. Some brides extend the invitation to the reception dinner to the officant and photographer. But not sure if that is in lieu of a gratuity. I would think not.
I know that any limo company that I have priced, informed me that a 20% gratuity is expected and some add it automatically.
And as far as hair and make-up, I would tip them whatever you would(maybe more, depending on service) at your home salon.
Usually, I don't think it is necessary to tip the owner of a business. As would be the case for the florist and photographer.
Talk to you later! :flower:

Someone sent me this link once. Might help. I would like to know how disney weddings are typically handled, though. Officiant, wedding planner, photographer, limo, towncar driver, etc.
thing is with a lot of that stuff (especially for intimate) we don't really know the price of it. So, if it says, say 15 percent for limo driver, well, how much is that/

One thing I noticed about the officiant is that the tip is generally something given to them because many times they perform the ceremony for free, so do they really need tips if we are paying them? or is it a tip for extra special treatment?

I think it largely depends upon who you are using to provide the service. We tipped our officiant and my beautician, but cheaply, no one else. Our florist, photographer, and videographer all owned thier businesses, and our DJ, violinist, etc., they were booked thru Disney and I paid the fee, plus taxes and service charges, so did not feel it was neccessary to give tips to them.

Yes, I guess if all the vendors were booked through Disney then it would be harder to know how much to tip, if at all. We are not doing a FTW vow renewal, so it is easier to figure tips for those who should get them.

Thanks Kerri! Ill send you an email when I return!

I cant believe I leave tomorrow!!!!!

Hey Jamie,
Just booked my limo with Jim at Golden Limo. I could not get in touch with Dennis from Lorden over the weekend, but Jim came highly recommended. As we were talking I found out that he and Dennis work together quite a bit. And he (Jim) will be one of your drivers next week!
Talk to you later.
