We have a 5:20 PM departure flight from MCO - what time will we need to leave Pop Century. I'm trying to plan my last day and can't get my head wrapped around this.

Personally,depending on situation, 2:30 at earliest and 3:20 at latest.

When I have my sister with me, I need more time at the airport for dropping luggage and, depending on airline, getting her mobility device tagged. Even TSA pre-check, her device has to go through a bit more screening at security.

If I am solo, I am comfortable with leaving for the airport 1.5-2 hours before departure, but at that time of day, I would go 2 hours.

What day of the week? A weekday I would say by 2:45, weekend 3:15 due to traffic issues.

And, need more information...
* Do you have to return (and presumably fuel) a rental car?
* Do you have to check bags?
* Do you have pre-check?

All of those affect the time. As a general ballpark, assuming you need to check bags and don't have precheck, I'd plan on walking through the doors of MCO no later than two hours before departure time. Drive time between WDW and MCO is ~30-45 minutes. I personally would use 45 minutes. So using simple math, leave Disney about 2:45 before departure time.

And more math...
Do you have to check bags? If no, subtract 15 minutes (so leave 2:30 before departure).
Do you have pre-check? If yes, subtract 15 minutes (can possibly be 30, but I like extra "just in case" time).
Do you have to return/fuel a rental car? If yes, add 15 minutes.

No bags to check, with precheck, no rental car to deal with, leave WDW 2:15 before departure.

There are other variables too... mobility issues? Travelling with small kids? Want to get a meal?

I can't remember since I haven't been to WDW in 5 years, does MCO have sky caps?

Thank you TSA precheck, but will be checking bags. No rental car, but undecided on transportation yet. Mears or Tiffany Town car probably.

Just note with Tiffany , it gives you a time of two hours before flight for pickup. I emailed as asked for an earlier time of 2 1/2 hours. With ME, it was three hours, but then there was always another two stops.
