When I got home from my last trip I noticed the camera bag I bought at Everything Pop still had an in tag on it. Who do I contact about sending it back for the tag to be removed?

This happened to me too, with a blanket from Mexico in EPCOT. I Googled Ink Tag and got instructions on how to remove it and it worked well. Hope this helps.

it's been known to happen. if you don't want to risk doing it yourself, the disney store or any other store may be willing to do it for you.

otherwise you can contact wdw merchandising at 407-363-6200 and they will arrange something for you.

I would take it to a local store other than this tag doesn't look like one I have ever seen before. It looks similar to a small paddle lock. It does have the usual warning on it about damaging the item it is attached to, leaving me believing it does have ink in it.

This happened to me once and it was a different type than our TDS, I called them and they had me send a digital photo of the tag attached to verify, and then they sent me a new item, and I got to keep the original (for what that was worth). It was nice because I didn't have to pay to send the other one back.

It's worth a phone call, I'm sure they'll make good on it!

I'm not sure if the Disney Store would have the same security tag. Last September I purchased a Snow White costume for my niece before our trip to DW. When we were packing to leave we realized that the security tag was still on. I brought it with me along with the receipt and brought it to the hotel gift shop to see if they could remove it. They didn't have the same security sensors so I was out of luck. She ended up wearing it with the sensor, you really couldn't see it under her hair.

Anyway, I'd call Disney and see what they say, it's probably your best bet.

I would just take it to a clothing store in the mall or something.

The local stores do not have the same tag removal. Just Call Disney, if you have a reciept, the Phone # should be on it. They sent Fed Ex to my house, picked up the item (in our case a hat) and shipped it back, whole process was about 3 days!

Speaking from experience (I manage a department store). Some ink tags are actually magnetic. Placing a decent size magnet on one side can loosen it. This may or may not work depending on the type. If that doesn't work, I would definitely contact disney.

That only works if you have to have a really, really strong magnet. I've experimented with different magnets on hardware, and I am yet to find one strong enough (not trying to steal, just experimenting from a loss prevention view). A simple magnet from the fridge won't do!

If the tag isn't on there tight, you can try to snip the metal pin that holds the two pieces together. But if the tag is on a thick bag, it would be hard to get a tool in there. Don't try to pull it off by any other means! It is glass, and can cut you!

Like somebody said before, the easy way to remove the ink tag: bring it to a local store! When I worked at JCPenney, somebody brought me a wdw product with a ink tag and I took it off for her. I've worked 3 different places that use those same ink tags. Try bringing your bag up to the mall and see if somebody will remove it for you!

TDS ones are different as people mentioned, happened with an eeyore i bought. I went to the mall and just started asking various stores. 2nd one i went into, a sports store, had the same system and took it off.

Well I called and have to just send it back and they will remove it and send the case back to me. If I enclose proof of postage cost I will get that back as well. Thank you BradK for the phone number.

1) Leave it on and think of it as Bling.
2) Of course, getting into local stores might set off the alarms.
3) Seriously, go to a local store and ask for a favor to remove it.

I also used to manage a retail clothing store and I would usually NOT take off someone else's tags.

-Not all tags are the same- so the hardware used won't work on it
-I don't know if that merchandise was stolen or not and I don't want any part in helping that(I'm not saying that you took the items, but it was just the general rule)

But if an item would come from our sister stores or out of town- and they had a receipt, I would match the items and remove the tag if it was possible.

I would suggest calling Disney
