Help - they are getting rid of Lilo

Right now my oldest is at Aulani, and a Disney photographer has told her they are not going to have Lilo in any future projects, Stitch without Lilo, really ?!?!? Does anyone have an address I can write to complain to?

I have not heard anything either way on this rumor, but I would be hesitant to get worked up over anything coming from a Disney photographer. They don't tend to be the most connected group of employees and are often willing to pass on rumors as fact.

Same goes for bus drivers...

When we were at DLP on the ABD trip, Stitch was EVERYWHERE, along with one of the characters from one of the other movies, Angel. Evidently, they LOVE these two characters. However, I don't think I saw anything Lilo.

Hmmm.. Disney needs to watch that movie again and think of the message they put in it, ohana - I can understand them not putting her in at Aulani if it offends the Hawaiian people, but come on, why pull her out of everything else?

Agreed. I'd rather they did away with Stitch. But that's just me. My son-in-law loves Stitch. To each their own.

I love Lilo from the movie, but the character in the parks just doesn't look right to me. Knowing that Stitch is huge at DLP makes me even more excited about our trip in April!

I wonder why Lilo is offensive to the Hawaiian people?

We saw Disney on Ice last night - "Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey" and Lilo was a main character in that show.

ETA - Lilo wasn't a costumed character last night. She was a "face" character like the princesses.

A little OT, but I work in the Merchants of Venus store and am amazed at how many people come in and ask if this is where the "Lilo and Stitch" ride lets out.

My DD11 would DIE if they got rid of Stitch! She sleeps with her Stitch stuffed animal every night and brings it out with her in the morning! She's obsessed with him!

I'm curious to know why she is offensive! I hope they don't get rid of her at the Ohana breakfast! My girls love her!

OHANA does mean family! They really shouldn't get rid of her!
