Does anyone have experience with switching resorts midweek and having to move groceries without a rental car? We are moving from AKL to BCV and I am very concerned about it!! Anyone? Thanks in advance.

I guess what I am most concerned about are the groceries that need to stay cold...milk, etc. Thanks again!

Pack the refrigerated and frozen items separately. Bell services will keep them in the refrigerator and freezer for you.

We did this as a family group of 11 last May - changed from AKL to BWV. Bell Services did a great job of getting everything transported and our cold stuff was fine. Only downside is tipping both places. We tipped big since we had so much luggage and food for all of us but other than that small downside, it worked great! Hope you have a great vacation!

So what did you put your cold stuff in? I was thinking about buying one of those bags that keep stuff cold. Ideas?

At the least, save all the bags you got when you did the shopping, and if you have extras double the bags for frozen and fridge items.

We just saved the bags from our grocery shopping and re-used them but I think taking along one or two of the cold storage bags is a great idea. I'm filing it away for next time! If I remember correctly, Bell Services put our cold stuff in storage coolers for transporting. Everything gets loaded onto a truck to be taken to the new resort. They even went so far as to replace a bag of sugar that broke during transfer (we have to have our sweet tea!) without us even asking.

This April, They did keep my refrigerated stuff in the 'fridge. It started well, I asked at bell services the pm before the transfer and they put me on the schedule, and came as promised.

Too bad they did not bother to actually transfer the goods from OKW to SSR, as noted. :headache:(They offered, but it was midnight after after the transfer day and spending the day/night at DTD, and I wanted to make sure I could get to sleep quickly and wake up to my cold breakfast items) Since I had my car, I just drove to OKW and got it from their bell services and picked it up, they apologized a lot.
In the end it was OK, because I hate to tip for things like that.
(I know it is the right thing to tip when properly serviced, but I'm cheap so I never feel like I'm getting a good value)

Another note, I guess you need to have your food in bag(s) or a box. I did not notice anything on that bell services cart or bell person, and was glad we had ours ready to go in a paper ream box..

Another note, the bell services guy
