Help! Switch from WL to AKL to save $900?

Just found out we can switch from WL to AKL and save $900 total for our grand gathering. In WL we have one view bunk room, one view room, and two std rooms. In AKL we'd have one bunk and three std rooms. We have 8 adults & 4 kids under 7 years old. Any advice greatly appreciated!!! Is it worth the $900 savings?

WL is closer to MK and has the boat and bus there
AKL is more travel time
also the menus are different there

To some, it may be worth the savings. To others, it might not. Only you can answer that.

If it helps, we're staying at WL this December for 9 nights. If I found out I could save $900 by staying at AKL, I wouldn't switch. AKL doesn't do it for me.

We have stayed at both resorts and loved them both. We just stayed at AKL this past Feb. and the kids loved it! They have a great selection of activities at this hotel for the kids which came in handy when we were hanging around the resort. We always have a car, so the transportation is not an issue with us. And of course the animals make it really special and different than any other hotel. You can't go wrong at either, but AKL is great!

$900 would be a nice saving, but if your heart is set on WL, I wouldnt switch.

Thanks all, we are sticking with the WL. I did have my heart set on WL, and as we don't do many big vacations I'd hate to regret the decision especially if we felt like we were too far from the MK. thanks again...

To save $900.00 bux and move to AKL? Heck yes!!!! I'd do it in a hearbeat, of course, i love AKL cuz i've stayed there and plan to return so i'm biased. I wouldn't do WL only cuz my family and i love everything about AKL. If staying in the MK area is more important to you - great, however to save $900 bux, is it worth it? You will absolutely love AKL and all of the activities they offer. They don't share buses with any other resorts so the ride is about 10 minutes tops to any other park. Folks that have stayed at WL will go that route, people that have stayed at AKL will steer you that route. Both resorts are basically identical in design with different themeing to differentiate them apart.

With that $900.00, you could put that down as a deposit for your next trip to WDW next year.
