****Help****Swapping Out Family or Friends on a Reservation

Hey everybody, hopefully you guys might be able to help me out. I purchased a Room Only & Package Ressies last week with a friend of mine and myself. My friend told me earlier today that they won't be able to go. I contacted reservations to have my original friend swapped out for another friend of mine who's on my account. The CM did her thing and said that the change should be immediate on MDE. I go to the My reservations & tickets section to check and it still has the original friend's name on it. I then go into the Change reservation menu and it shows party of two my name & funny enough, the name of the friend I wanted. I then go into the MagicBands section and my original friend's MB orders are still there and can't be deleted. The CM tried her hardest to help me but in the end she gave me a phone number for their Internet Help Desk for me to call tomorrow if my changes still don't take affect. Has this situation happened to anybody? Any tips? What did you do to resolve the issue? Any info from you guys will be greatly appreciated. :)
 
I used to work for the Walt Disney travel company and the internet help desk. Let me ask you, your friend that was no longer going, thats the reservation you were trying to cancel? Because that cant be done. The lead guest( who evers name is guest number 1 or the name reservation is under) can not be changed. Its a cancel rebook, which is very easy to do. After that is done youll have to be transferred over to the help desk so they can help with switching the magic bads over to who ever is on the new reservation. Get up early, 7AM EST and call, get this all sorted out . Call the reservations line first.

I'm not canceling any of my reservations at all, i simply want to swap out my friend for the other one who'll be able to go, that's all. I'm the lead guest since it's my MDE account, my two friends are simply on by buddy list on my account, that's it. :) The friend who's going with me went with me to Disney World last year and already has several MagicBands under their name. So once I get it switched, i want to cancel the MagicBand orders for my other friend cause they're not going anymore. So don't call the internet help desk at all? Call reservations again? Cause the CM I spoke to kept saying that the swap is in their system and just not showing up immediately on my end like its supposed to, which was why she gave me the number to the help desk. Any tips you can give me will be great.
 
ok let me clarify, how many rooms does the group have? I assumed more then one based on "I purchased a Room Only & Package Ressies" Since these are two entirely different things. So lets start there :P

Its one room on each reservation, one is at the Contemporary, Theme park view, Room only for two nights and the package is at Art of Animation, Standard Little Mermaid Room with 10 day tickets for 12 nights
 
ahhhh i see, so two reservations. got it. Ok youll just call the help desk then. Sorry for the confusion ;) but still call early at 7am EST, or if you MUST wait 10AM EST at that time a team of about 25 more comes in to help answer phones but they are in anaheim CA :)

Yeah, fat chance of calling at 7am EST, I'm in MST so will have to do it when i get to work. LOL. But I appreciate your help though, it's amazing though how something so simple such as swapping a guest on the same acct is a chore for their systems. LOL.
 
It always amazed me as well as them. Id call IT to get out of taking calls sometimes and we'd talk whiile they were doing thier thing and Id always say, you know disney have LOTS of smart people working for them im sure, its amazing they would rather out source IT work or not get some of them to BUILD exactly what they wanted.

One of the systems we used in Anaheim is still running windows 98( uggggghhhhh)
