Hi everyone,

We are planning our next trip for May 2003. The week prior to Memorial Weekend. Hopefully it will not be too crowded. I really, really wanted to stay at the Wilderness Lodge for this trip, but unfortunately it is not in our budget.

I can get a great rate for the Swan through my work or Caribe Royal Suites.

I love the Swan/Dolphin b/c it is so beautiful and practically like staying on site. My only concern is that we spend way more money on food when we are that close to Disney.

The Caribe Royal Suites looks nice and I like the fact that it has a fridge & micro for my kids. Their pool looks pretty nice too. However, I have read some negative things about the Caribe.

Help me decide?

Thanks!

Jennifer

We haven't stayed at either one but from everything I have read on these boards as well as other I would think the Swan would be the better choice. If you compare the rates, the Swan is about approx. $250.00 + a night where you can get Caribe Royal for $149.00. You are correct the reviews lately on Caribe Royal haven't been to favorable. I'm sure others here will also have an opinion to help you make your decision. Good Luck :)

Hi,

I have stayed at both and the SWAN is the best. The Location, MUCH much more beautiful pool(s) than the Caribe's (1)pool.
Plus you get disney transportation to the parks. Boat and bus. The swan has the Heavenly beds which are the most comfortable beds around. There is a Tubbys cafetaria in Dolphin just a little walk from the swan with great cafeteria style pricing. Swan is in a way better league than the Caribe in terms of locations, room cleanniness, entertainment, transportation and so much more.

The Caribe does have a living room and bedroom but you would need your own transport because you definitly do not want to rely on their transportation. WAY too slow!!. I also heard they do not serve breakfast buffett any more. The pool is big but the slide is in one little corner where it gets crowded the most and it is pretty deep near the slide.

I hope that helps. I stay at the Swan quite a lot with my 2 little ones.
