My mother in law bought a time share, in Orlando, and invited us down for the first "visit" during presidents week. We've always camped at Ft. Wildernes and love it-- easy transportation, early entry, lots of majic.

But now we are off site (Kissemee) Any tips on getting from place to place or getting to just on place.

I was thinking about booking an early character breakfast at the contempory and monorailing it to MK. Can I park there all day?

Also I have small kids, so we always did an afternoon break, any ideas on how to do that?

I'm at a planning loss....any ideas would be great!

You'll be fine. :) I stayed off site for the first time this past Feb. the week after presidents week.

Make sure you have a rental car for getting from your time share to the parks and resorts. If you have PH passes you can use the busses once you are there. Parking is $7 a day. The $7 parking pass is good all day at all four parks. Parking at DTD is free, but be aware there are no direct busses to the parks from there.

You may park at the resorts for about 4 hours o dine, shop and look around.

I found staying offsite to be very relaxing and not all that different from staying onsite. Unless you are really, really into resorts, it's not that bad. The time share we stayed in in FEB was very quiet and relaxing.

Have a great trip!

You will need to park at the TTC instead of the CR if you plan to go to the MK for the day. The guests who stay at the CR really appreciate being able to park their own vehicles at the resort that they paid to stay at.

To go to your character breakfast, park in the normal lot for the MK and then take the resort monorail to the CR or the express monorail to MK and then walk to the resort.

As for a break, we have always taken one and almost always stay offsite. We bring snacks or lunch and juice boxes in a small cooler for the kids for the ride back to the resort. That takes care of the eating issue and uses less time as you are doing two things at once.

We love staying offsite. The mental break and the space just can't be beat. Especially the space. And we like the whole general area so it is fun to explore other restaurants etc.

Have a great trip.

I'm right there with you, we are staying off property for the first time also first time renting a car and i am freakin out only a few more days to go
