HELP!!!...Stars and Motor Cars...

I know that the DH would LOVE to see the Stars and Motor Cars Parade since there's a chance that Mater will make an appearance. What I wanted to know was this...About how long does the parade last, and how early should we get to the parade route in order to get a good spot? The main reason I ask is because 1. I want to make sure that the DH gets a good view of Mater and Lightnin, and 2. I was going to make a ressie for the Sc-Fi Diner afterwards, but wanted to make sure that there would be enough time in between the Stars and Motor Cars Parade to eat and make it out in time to get a good spot for Fantasmic? Any advice/tips/pointers is GREATLY appreciated!

The parade is not a long parade maybe 15 min tops. The parade is not very crowded like other park parades. You should have no prob finding a good spot. Also you will have PLENTY of time between the parade and Fantasmic to eat at the Sci Fi.

Just make sure you get there at the beginning, Lightning McQueen and Mater were the leaders when we were there in June. I would also suggest sitting back towards Star Tours instead of Hollywood Blvd. Have a magical trip!!!!

I just got back, and my son loves Lightning Mcqueen and Mater, so I was on a mission too!!!!! The parade didn't start until 5:30Pm, and for us w/ a little one, we were in the resort pool by that time!!!!!!!!!! If you just want to see the parade for the Cars, at 10:00am by the Motors, Action, Stunt Show ( I think that's what it's called), Lightning and Mater come out by themselves. We had a curb side view, and got some great pictures of both of them!!!!!! Hope this helps!!!!
