Help! Spiderman closing for rehab?

I've continued to search for any posts about Spidey's closing. I came across this post on Trip Advisor:

I emailed Universal to ask when Spiderman was closing for it's refurb, I have just received an email back from them confirming that Spiderman is not due to close until after our visit in November."

I think the best thing to do is to wait until Universal makes an official announcement. Anything else is pure speculation.

YEAH!!! Sad we won't make it before Jimmy closes, but excited to see Despicable Me next year!! I would be VERY upset if there was no Spiderman.

I wouldn't think they would be closed during their big season. It will either close in November and be open by Christmas or close after Christmas.

Well if your ticker in your signature is when you are going, I hate to tell you Jimmy N will be closed. The last day of operation is either August 17-18. No one know yet about Spidy.

Yeah...I knew The Jimmy was gonna be closed...just hoping that BOTH of them weren't. Number 1 son is handling Jimmy's demise fairly well, so far.
Maybe he will catch a glimpse of the new DM ride's progress.

I've also read that there have already been updates to screens and projection equipment. I'm thinking, if the upgardes are technical rather than cosmetic, this should be a short rehab, maybe even completed after-hours.
