Help sort out a dispute

A work colleague of mine says I must be mad to do Christmas at Disney as its their busiest time of year.

I have been to DLRP in Feb, March, September, November and December and felt that the Christmas period was one of the most uncrowded (particularly between the 23rd and 27th). Before and after was hectic.

Is there a list of visitor numbers (daily if possible) for me to either prove myself or her correct or is this closely guarded information.

I then showed her my photos of the Christmas Parade where people were only 1 or 2 deep v's other times when they were 4 or 5 deep. She claims it was because we were stood at the starting point.

last year we went from the 15th-19th of December(the last weekend before christmas) and it WAS VERY BUSY! however from what i have read the actual christmas days is less busy so you may be right.

Sarah I am sure she is maybe a little bit jealous of you getting to spend Christmas with the Mouse - I know I am You are there long enough to enjoy things even if it does get crowded and I am sure you will have a fantastic time

I am sure there is a teeny weeny bit of the green-eyed monster there but I just hoped to prove to here my thoughts were correct (I am a bit of a sore looser and like to give evidence of my defense - LOL )

Min you, having said that, I get a ickle bit (well a lot) jealous when I hear others are off to see the mouse too.

I think you are right only Disney will know the visitor numbers.

We were there from 24th-26th December last year and 24th and 25th were far less busy than when we'd been in summer but 26th was mega busy.

We were there last Christmas from 23rd - 28th.

I agree with you Sarah, the Christmas holiday itself as opposed to the Christmas Season is much quieter than when we have been in August.

From memory ~ 23rd was fairly busy, 24th was a bit quieter in the morning and by the afternoon the park seemed pretty empty ~ I remember us riding Pirates of the Caribbean again and again in a boat on our own in order to get that perfect ride photo! and I also remember Big Thunder Mountain being a walk-on in the evening.
25th was what I would call quiet, busier than the day before but I still wouldn't class it as busy compared to when we go in August. 26th we spent in the Studios so it's hard to judge but I would say it did seem busier, 27th was definitely busier and 28th was manic.

I agree, your colleague is probably more than a little envious make sure you take loads and loads of photos of your wonderful Disney Christmas to show her on your return!

Us too. How fab is the feeling when the CM in POTC gives you the nod to stay on again.

DD8 is counting the number of 'school days' left until we leave - she said it sounds better than the number of 'sleeps'. LOL

In a way I want the run up to going to last forever. Once your there it flies by and this magical feeling of getting excited and talking about the trip is the best ever

DH is already talking about doing Florida for the first time next year but I just feel so 'comfortable' at DLRP and cant imagine Christmas in the sun. It just does not seem right somehow. Besides there is a lot of new stuff happening in DLRP next year so may be able to pursuade him (just this once).
