HELP... Sony products *Update*

Ok So I buy the small DSC T-9 pocket camera for my vacation in 2 weeks and the thing just stopped working.

Its not the battery. Sony said they will fix it but it will take 2 weeks from the time they receive the camera.

I told them this was not good enough and I needed a camera. They put a high priority on it and will have someone highter in Soney call me tomorrow.

Do I have any chance of getting a replacement by my vacation ?

I only reason for this camera was because of my vacation and I wanted a pocket one.

*Update*

Sony Style will take the camera back because its only been 28 days of me owning it. They cant get me a new one to replace the broken one in time for my vacation so I had to buy a brand new camera and just return the old one for a credit.
I was upset I had to dish out the money again but I really want that camera for my trip and it was the only way.

How long ago did you buy it .Is there a chance to just take it back to the store and return it and get another one.

I know Sony makes great products but their service is not top notch time wise .They use many different 2nd party service centers.

I have had it 30 days yesterday. I got it off Sony' Style's home page not a store UGGGGG.

1st time buying something like that over the internet.

When I talked to them yesterday they were very nice but I can wait and explained that to them, the reason for buying this camera was for my vacation. The lady said someone higher up will call me today.

We went over all trouble shooting yesterday. It went from working a little bit to not at all by the time I got off the phone with Sony.


I love the camera so it only makes this more painful.
