I am so cross, We went to Bluewaters today on an unsucessful school uniform hunt, we always park in the same area near the entrance to J. Lewis (so we can visit the loos on the way out), and when we got near to the car a lady shouted and I then realised that a man was laying on the ground at the rear of my Zafira - he jumped up and ran off asap, when I checked he had been trying to steal my spare wheel (this is quite common on Zafiras and vauxhall now all about it) - well sonny jim was out of luck I'd had that happen to me before and once bitten twice shy, I'd paddlocked the cage which holds the wheel in place, to deter a would be theif - although if they were that determined it wouldn't stop them but might delay them a little - but even if he had got it he wouldn't have got a band spanking new vauxhall wheel I refused to pay the £120+ that vauxhall wanted to repalce the stolen one and visited my local yre shop and got a 2nd hand rim for £5 and a cheap tyre for £40 my thinking being that if one of my actual wheels/tyres got damaged I would use the spare to get me home and replace the actual wheel/tyre with a vauxhall one therefore keeping my cheap and cheerful tyre as a spacre. Well I've digressed I was quite happy that my little ploy had worked until we started home and couldn't work out why the radio wasn't working properly, when we arrived back here our would be theif had unscrewed my ariel with my mickey mouse head and taken it - I am so upset that he nicked mickey sod the ariel -I can buy another one of them round the corner but have got to wait till August 04 to go back to the world for another mickey head!! I hope he gets the ariel stuck in a very uncomfortable dark place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aww it really annoys me when i hear things like this :(
I hope the aerial gets stuck where the sun dont shine on him! gr!

These days nothing is safe!!
There's always someone watching you and your belongings!

We had this a month ago, when DP (a mobile car valeter),was working,he had stepped out of the van cause the back doors wasnt shut as he got to the back of the van, someone started to drive off in it,luckily all the valeting belongings flew out of the back and they dumped the van we got it all back,a few things was damaged, but the police said it was due to the fact he didnt want the van but the karcher pressure washer which is worth over £1000+:( I think these thiefs are so cruel these days :(

Sorry to go off topic,i hope you get urself another mickey head :( although you shouldnt have to if people would keep there greasy hands to themselves!!!

Beth :(

I sympathise, I've had a black mickey head on my ariel since last August and amazingly it's still there. Dw however had a cinderella version on her car, and it got stolen within a month of getting back from holiday. Perhaps mine being black and less obvious has saved it so far.

I superglued my very first one on . . . just in case. It's still doing the rounds on a bird feeder in the garden;)

I know this wouldn't deter someone who really wanted to nick it - they'd just take the whole aeriel by unscrewing it, but at least it may have stopped opportunist thieves (and children) who fancied it:mad:

How annoying for you - it's your property, Snookhams, at the end of the day and little jerks like that really **** me off,

We always park in that part of the car park at Bluewater. I can't believe the nerve of the guy - it's not exactly secluded. John Lewis's restaurant overlooks it, too!

We're off to WDW in a few days and I'll gladly pick up another topper for you.

Never thought our Mickey head would last but its still sat on the aerial (a bit dirty now) since June last year.

We will probably get a shiny new one when we go again in August.

Whenever we are out we always look for these things on other cars and wonder if they got em in WDW:)

sad I know..but there you go

I'm afraid we do the same thing! Do they sell anywhere else other than WDW? It'd be nice if they didn't, that way we can tell who all the other WDW obsessed people are driving around...

Just wondered, when we went last year i never seen those lil mickey heads,we want one,so this time im going to get one where do you find them?

Beth & Co

Our 1st MM topper lasted about 4-5 months before it disappeared. Not sure if it was nicked or just flew off when we were on the motorway or something - just one day we realised it wasn't there any more

The 2nd one we had only lasted about 2 weeks though :( We bought a spare but we are 'saving' it for later in the year to pace ourselves between trips if it goes again.

Beth, I'm pretty sure that we got ours from 'World of Disney' at DTD. They have quite a selection, at least 6 or more different types...
Ian

We also had ours stolen within 4 weeks of getting back from Florida in 2001 so this time we glued it on but they still managed to nick it!!! We have a spare but I am loath to put it on and loose it again. We too count mickeys when we are out and about....saw seven in one car park at Bluewater recently!!

I really hate that when people do that. One of my work colleagues stole my Minnie Mouse tumbler.
