Hi everyone,

I have used the Disboards for trips to WDW and have always found helpful suggestions. My husband has a business trip at DLP in January and I am coming with him. We will be staying at Disney's Hotel New York and it will be our first time at DLP. My husband will be at meetings for the majority of the time, which leaves me solo for almost the entire trip (which will be for 4 days in January 2008). I would love to hear any suggestions you may have for someone doing DLP by themself. I am in real need of relaxation and don't necessarily need to be at the parks every single day. Oh yeah, this will be my first time in Paris.

I am so excited and thrilled about the opportunity to go to DLP and be in Paris. :goodvibes

I mostly go on my own and love just to wander around. The imagineering in the Parks is wonderful. I also like to visit the different hotels and stop and have a drink in their bars and look at their shops.

There are outlet shops nearby. You can take the underground there. YOu could even take and

There are lots of shows to see like the Lion King, and the ones in Studios like Animagique and Cinemagique and also the studio tram tour. I would have thought those would be entertaining if you were alone. It would take a day or two to do all the rides if you wanted to try - even with extra magic hours and fastpass!

There is so much to see in Paris though. It won't be a question of filling in your time - you'll run out, I assure you!
Paris is a city that is very easy to walk around. The RER train line A runs from Disneyland to the centre of Paris in about 40 minutes. You can stop at Auber for the Opera and Galeries Lafayette dept store. Or Chatelet Les Halles for the Louvre, Centre Pompidou and cross the Seine at the pont neuf for the ile de france where Notre Dame cathedral is and cross again for the latin quarter, where the sorbonne, middle ages museum and jardins de luxembourg are 5 minutes walk away, and also the boulevard st michel where all those 'rive gauche' existential chats took place. if you get off at charles de gaulle etoile you can see l'arc de triomphe and walk along the champs d'elysee and see all the stores. it's a short walk to the eiffel tower from there.
and that's 3 days gone!!

Have a great time.
