I sold some clothes on Ebay that ended yesterday. I was getting the ones that had been paid for packed up when my son came in to show me his FRESHLY PAINTED car he had been working on. Of course he ended up getting some paint on the table and I didn't realize it, so now I have paint on a shirt I sold. :headache: Can I cancel sale after it ended? I haven't received any payment yet for that auction. Will I get "punished" by Ebay? I feel so bad, I have sold for years and never had anything like this happen before! Any advice?

I would just contact the buyer & let him/her know what happened. If you both decide not to go thru w/ the sale, you shouldn't be punished.

I wouldn't worry.

Something similar to this happened to me once...sold a piece of hand embroidery, then dropped an uncapped Sharpie on it. I just contacted the buyer, apologized profusely and immediately refunded her money.

I sell all the time on Ebay. This happened to me before. Just contact the buyer explain and sincerely apologize. Accidents happen. It should be no big deal.

As otehrs have said, just contact the person and tell them waht happened. Unless they are just unreasonable then there should be no problem.

Thanks for the responses! :goodvibes I felt so bad that happened! I sent an email to the buyer, still waiting for a response.
