Help! Snowed in at in-laws!

I hope everyone has as good a time as possible, if they can't behave maybe they'll at least give you some good stories to share.

Good luck

Ps- I think this is why flasks exist

Thanks for the support, folks. I knew I could count on the DIS to make me feel better! :thumbsup2

DH and I ended up driving back late in the afternoon. In-laws are in Eastern NC, but we measured 16" in their yard. By the time we got back to the Triangle where we live, it had tapered off to about 6". We're just not used to driving in the snow. So glad we got home!!!

I was going to suggest alcohol until I saw the Baptist minister post!

I guess the in laws are better than sleeping at the airport. Did you get some chocolate? That is almost as good as adult beverages!

LOL about the in-laws recovering! I think they'll be alright. =p

I would LOVE some adult beverages right now, but my FIL is a Baptist minister and they do not allow alcohol in their house. Chocolate, however, is acceptable!

We still might be able to get out this afternoon, but I kinda doubt it. The south can't handle a foot of snow.

I would move to a hotel! (Only slightly kidding because I enjoy wine with dinner.)

Trying not to go bats***. DH insisted that he'd be able to drive home after the snow fall. Now, he's not so confident. I don't dislike my in-laws, but I loathe staying with them for a number of reasons. and I'm PMSing. Ugh.

I'm sure your in-laws really enjoy having you stay there the extra time too. :rolleyes1
