My sister-in-law leaves in two weeks for Disney. It's their first trip and she's staying at Holiday Inn Sunspree, in a kid suite. I think she had this and HIFS mixed up when she made the ressies. Anyway, I just checked it out on these boards and it sounds like most of you were not pleased. Has anyone been happy there? Also, do you think if she wasn't happy, they would let her leave with no hassle?(not sure how much she has paid them, or if she is only having it held with a nights deposit). Please give me some good news, I don't want her to have this hotel bum out her vacation. Thanks!

I was one of those that wasn't pleased with the Sunspree, it wasn't a "ruin your vacation" kinda experience. I just found the room to be old feeling, and on the dirty side.

Almost every non-Disney hotel I've ever dealt with has a no penalty cancellation policy if you cancel within 24 hours (or sometimes just before 6 pm on the day of arrival). You give them a credit card to hold the room, but they only charge it you don't show up. Also, you don't pay until you check out, so if you leave early it isn't a problem. You just pay for the nights you've stayed. I would give them a little notice (the night before) if I knew I was checking out early.

I've never stayed there, so I can't help with that, but she has time to make new reservations somewhere else :) And there are lots of great deals for september! Has she looked at mousesavers.com??
