Help send "Flat Stanley" around the counrty/world. A second grade school project.

WOW!!!!! Never let it be said that people in this world don't like to help.

I have re-read the letter my niece sent me. It asks that we send the letter and "Flat Stanley" from place to place. And if we'd like to take a picture and send it back also, they would love it.

How I see it is that whom ever wishes just to send a postcard about thier town/state that would be great and I will send you the info needed.

Those of you who would like me to send "Flat Stanley" to you... I will make up a list of names and addresses and you can send the post card (and picture if you'd like) to the class then send the letter on to the next person on the list.

Let me know what works for you all, and thank you again for being so kind.

Have a Great Disney Day!!!

I could do Battle Creek, MI...Cereal City. We have Kellogg's right up the street. I'd be happy to do a picture 9maybe even with Tony the Tiger :) PM me.

How about sending Stanley to Iraq. I am currently deployed here and have about 5 more months, so if you would like to send him, just to visit it; would be fine. I will be glad to have him tour my clinic, and learn about the army. Pm me if you would like him to vacation in Iraq.
Hope to see you Stanley!!

I can do Lexington, KY (Kentucky Derby area) with Horses and Bluegrass if you would like. Just PM me with the address if interested. Sounds fun.

Flat Stanley caused me stress!!!
We sent DS' Flat Stanely to NC where my brother lives.

My (childless) brother then proceeded to hold Flat Stanley hostage until after the due date for which Stanley was to return to class! (Actually he LOST Stanley for some time.) So we ended up with just a couple of pictures, taken last minute, in my brother's place of business. One of the pictures I couldn't even use bc. my brother had Stanley on a table saw with the blade aimed for between Stanley's legs!! I thought that would be too traumatic to hang in a second grade classroom.

My brother laughed all of this off by saying, "Tell Mrs. C (DS' teacher) that she should remember from when I was in her class that I never turn things in on time."

So, needless to say, when DD goes to 2nd grade, her Flat Stanley will be visiting a different relative!!!!

That is TOO funny. When our friend sent "flat Sarah" to us, we took her to lots of stuff. I even made matching ballet leotards for her to wear to my 2 dd's ballet classes.

Count my family in for Alabama. We live in the same town as Bo Bice, so we could take Flat Stanley's photo near one of the many "Go Bo" banners near our house. I think you already have our address. ;) (Thanks again for those Box Tops!!!)

Here's a little "flat" idea - When my dd did her project a few years ago...I went & made 20 color copies of her "stanley" at kinkos (on a 2 for tuesday day)...sent them to 20 friends around the world...asking for a pic of Stan to be sent back...if they wanted to send him back, great...if not no biggie. We got tons of responses! & she wasnt' worried about Stanley getting lost in Oz.

btw. - I'd be happy to help here in Illinois

It didn't look like you have one from Wisconsin. I am a 4th grade teacher and would love to have Flat Stanley in my room for the day. We will take pictures and send them back. We were just talking about this after Library last week. The book was out and it brought back 2nd grade memories. I bet he would have some interesting adventures. Just PM me.
Thanks. :cool1:

If you need NJ, you can PM me. That sounds like a GREAT idea for kids!

Hi:
:wizard: I am student teaching in 3rd grade and would love to have FS visit for pictures. I live in Rhode Island. I also have post cards from SeaWorld, Lake Winnipesaukee (NH) and the Florida Keys.
PM me if you are interested.

If you'd like Flat Stanley to visit Washington State...We'd be more than happy to help. Just PM me and let me know. ;)

I can do London, Brisbane Australia and Sinagapore. Just send me a PM and I will send a post card for the aformentioned places.

(no point sending stanley my way as it will take 10 days or more. Although if you want to you can)
