Help: Scheduling CG/Ohana-Wishes

We'll be at WDW from August 5-12. We're staying onsite this time and want to schedule a dinner at Ohana or California Grill so we can also view Wishes during dinner. However, everything I've seen indicates those restaurants close at 10, and Wishes that week is at 11.

Do the restaurants stay open late when Wishes is at 11 instead of 10? Or are we just out of luck? Any other tips any of you can provide on scheduling this event is appreciated. (Yes, I know we're inside 180 days and haven't scheduled anything yet. I'm feeling a little behind the power curve on this one. So any advice is appreciated. Thanks. )

Have you thought about eating and then watching Wishes from the beach at the Poly? We have done that and it is lovely.

The restaurants will not stay open because Wishes is later, but they may stay open later based on crowds. If the last SEATING is at 10:00, you'd be set! Just call and ask what the last seating of the night is at either restaurant and see what they say.

I wanted to watch Wishes from the CG and I told the cast member this.. Wishes starts at 10pm so I set it for 9pm. The cast member said the closest to that that was available was 9:20. The restaurant will stay open as late as the people they have served finish. Restaurants don't necessarily close at set times, they stop SERVING at set times. Mot restaurants this time is about 10pm.
