Yesterday my DH and I had to put our darling kitty to sleep. It was very unexpected - he was only 9, and up until 3 days before seemed perfectly healthy. We thought we were bringing him to the vet for fluids, since he was not eating or drinking. But it was advanced liver disease.
We feel cheated - we got Romeo as an adult from the pound. Six years seems too quick.
Now I feel like everything in the house that is digestible is fair game -Its not that I have a lot of "bad" stuff in the house - its the quantity!
Not to mention feeling like running out to every fast food place in town.
I'm grateful for this forum - it even helps to post this. Thanks for reading.

for you!! How terrible to lose such a precious part of your life so soon!
Isn't it amazing how much love and how many smiles our furbabies give us?? I bet Romeo gave you many happy memories and had a good life with you. Try to focus on the good stuff, although it's hard right now. He didn't have to suffer and that's a blessing, but I'm sure it was quite a shock for you.
