We are going to Disney in Dec. and I LOVE the holidays. I would like to eat at a rest. with a Christmasy feel. LLT would have been my first choice but w/o the characters, I doubt we will eat there. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried to start a thread for posting pictures of the inside of the resturants that showed the Christmas decorations, but it didn't get very far. Any ideas or pictures would be great! Thanks!!!

Honestly I don't remember many decorations inside the restaurants on our last trip. But I got the most Christmasy feel when we were at the Wilderness Lodge, so maybe try one of the restaurants there. I know that you can see the lobby from the Whispering Canyon Cafe, but I have never eaten there to tell you if it is good or not. But we sat in their lobby and watched a bell choir by the giant tree, and sat by the fire...it as by far the most beautiful hotel at the holidays!

Mama Melrose because they always have all the white lights hanging up. I would go to the GFC because of the huge tree in the lobby and the gingerbread house

I recall some wreaths at Tutto Italia and the Pooh and friends dried flower display at CP has some Christmas additives (hats on the characters). There were some Christmas lights and a small Christmas tree on the dance floor at Biergarten. However, I don't really remember many decorations at the restaurants other than that - we were in WDW in Dec 2007 and Dec 2008.

Yeah- my mind immediately went to Whispering Canyon b/c the tree in the wilderness lodge is beautiful! But anything at Wilderness would be good- cuz i just LOVE that tree!

As far as how good the food it at Whispering Canyon, DW and I rate it as the best food in the parks. Check out our review in our signature on page 5 for picks.

Ditto on the food at Whispering Canyon. The WL is a great place at Christmas. My favorite resort at that time of year.

Another vote for Whispering Canyon Cafe! You could hang out in the lobby after dinner too and just people watch and look at the tree. :)

I thought Akershus had a nice Christmas-y feel when we ate there in December. I posted pics on your other thread (I think you were the same poster).:goodvibes

We were there this past December. The Christmas feel was all around, but I don't remember a restaurant having a particularly high "Christmasy" feel.

I would have to say that all of the resorts were decorated so resort restaurants might be a good choice for you. We dined at Whispering Canyon which is open to the lobby of WL and it was decorated very nicely.

I think if you dine right after walking down Main Street you will still have that Christmasy feel. Lastly, we were so impressed by the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights at DS that we still have the Christmasy feeling!! so anywhere at DS might suit you with a Christmasy feel!

This was almost exactly what I was going to say, just substitute bell choir for choir. :) And we did eat a WCC and enjoyed it.
