Help Renting A Car!

It looks like we finally nailed down our date for going to Disney - Jan. 22 - 29. The one thing I really haven't been researching our car rental rates. How do I get the cheapest rate? What are some good codes? What is a reasonable rate to expect?

Not to be totally blunt but use the search feature. There are numerous codes and tips in this forum. You can also look for codes on www.flyertalk.com or www.mousesavers.com

One thing to point out, some codes posted may be corporate or industry codes you are technically ineligible to use. I have used such codes myself and have not been asked to prove eligibility but it is quite possible an agent will ask for proof of eligibility. If you are ineligible for the rate and get caught you will have to pay full price / rack rate.

What size car are you looking to rent, what are your pickup and dropoff times?
Are you renting and returning to the airport or other locations?
What is your budget?
Is there a particular company you prefer?

There should be last minute deals coming out soon. In the mean time, if you find a rate you are happy with, book it. You can always cancel it if something better comes along.

If you sign up for a rental company's frequent renter program you generally get a 10% discount, and you don't have to rent frequently to be a member.
