HELP removing security tag

We leave for Disney tomorrow am early. I got the cutest Mickey shirt at Kohls and while packing just noticed the tag is still attached, anyone know how to get them off??????

That happened to me - the original store, some 30 miles away, when called, told me take my receipt and the garment to the nearest store that would have a security tag removal device and they would take it off for me. I took garment and receipt to the local Dick's sporting goods and they took it off for me. DO NOT try to take it off yourself.

@LindaBabe that might not work. Stores use different styles of tags that use different shaped removers. OP you'd want to go to an area with lots of stores (mall) to do that. The only "at-home" way is with a crazy strong magnet, which isn't something most have just sitting around.

There are instructions on various online web sites. Not that tough, I have had to remove several different types over the years.

If it is Non dye -- and even with them so long as you are careful-- you can remove them with adjustable pliers just start at the bottom and work your way up.. the stronger you are the easier and smaller pliers... WHY because I work for a fashion company and like all we do sample sales which are a lot of returns from department stores.. we have some of the various types of removal tools but not all.... in fact not most anymore...

If you have a very sharp pair of thin scissors you can cut the metal pin that connects them.

Kohls is famous for leaving those darn things on. Before I leave I check each item to make sure they are off. I have had this happen 3 times and it amazes me how I got out the door 3 different times with a so call security device.
