My fiance and I are planning on heading down to Disney from Jan 12th to the 17th. I would prefer to stay at Carribean Beach, as on our one trip to disney before, thats where we stayed and it was nice and relaxing. However the fiance wants to save money and do All Star Movies. Anyways, my question is what time does the discount usually come out? I know its pretty much confirmed that it will be out Oct 8th, but what time? Someone must know based off previous discounts. I work monday through friday 6am to 2pm so I was wondering if I should request the day off on tuesday oct 8th so that way I dont miss out on the discounts. Do the discounts usually go quick? Like I said, we have only been to disney once, two years ago, and I booked that through expedia, so I am new to this R/O discounts. Thanks for the help!

Reservations open at 7 a.m. eastern time. You should be able to book online at that time as well. It's hard to tell what will be available as only so many rooms are offered under discounts and not all resorts/room types are always offered. Disney releases discounts to fill rooms, so if a resort is at or near capacity, Disney will see no need to offer a discount on that particular resort and/or room type. With that said, some resorts go faster than others, so it's best to call as soon the discounts are released. Good luck.

Honestly the room discounts don't sell all that fast. Even when free dining is offered and there's a mad rush of calls, it's still available for many weeks following. I wouldn't worry about a sellout in the first few hours or even days.

Note that last time these discounts came out, they were able to be booked online just after midnight. So it may be to your advantage to stay up just in case. This is only for new reservations though, as you can't modify an existing reservation online.
