Well, I've waited to the last minute to come up with a punch recipe for a large gathering tomorrow night!

I posted this on the DIS Cooking forum, but no replys.

I have served my standby (Hawaiian Punch, 7 Up & sherbet, sparkling wine) a million times.
Ideally, I would like something thathas it's origins in days gone by(1700's), but as we all know they really liked to whack back the spirits and while the recipes look tasty, I can't use alcohol for this party. :headache:

Yes, sad, but true, no alcohol for this group.
Well, maybe after we shut the doors to the public :rolleyes1

So do you have a recipe to spark up my punch bowl?

Thanks in Advance,
Jean

White grape juice and ginger ale is sparkly and tasty!

Mmm, sounds good! I could make an ice ring with the punch & put red & green grapes in it.

Anyone else?

How about something with pomegranite juice or apple cider?

Depending upon the size of group, here is my favorite:
2 cans of pineapple juice, 1 can cream of coconut- mix together and freeze.
Let thaw part way and mix in 7-up.

Easy and tastes great :)

Don't know any punch recipes, but if I were in your situation, I would go to www.cooks.com . You can search countless recipes there. Also, if you have a punch recipe that calls for alcohol, usually you can just omit the alcohol.

I have done a non alcoholic sangria before. There are alot of recipes on the web but I basically added:

grape juice
orange juice
a touch of lemon and lime juice
cut up fruit
and then when you are ready to serve, add selter (or half seltzer, half lemon lime soda for a sweeter version)

I was in a hotel lobby a couple of weeks ago and they had lemonade with strawberries and orange slices.

Since the fruit had been sitting in the lemonade, it added a sweeter flavor to the lemonade and was very good.

A simple but pretty as well as tasty recipe.

This is the best punch, it comes out a dark pink color. It is really easy to make and goes fast. I omit the blood orange but I have used regular orange slices.

Six things punch:

INGREDIENTS
1 (46 fluid ounce) can fruit punch
1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 (6 fluid ounce) container frozen grape juice concentrate
6 cups cold water
3 cups ginger ale
1 blood orange, cut into rounds

DIRECTIONS
In a large punch bowl, combine fruit punch, lemonade concentrate, orange juice concentrate and grape juice concentrate. Stir in the water, then the ginger ale. Float orange slices on top.
