I'm here at the house for a bit and decided to disconnect my printer and scanner to move it over to my DD's tonight..

Well - the printer sprung a leak somewhere and I have printer ink all over my hands - and I do mean ALL over them!! I
ve tried every cleaner that I have left here in the house and nothing will get the ink off!! My granddaughter has her dance lessons tonight and I sure can't take her over there looking like this!

Any suggestions on what might get all of this ink off?

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe GOOP, but you would have to go buy that. I'm not really sure. I didn't want to look at your post then leave you high and dry.

have you tried areosol hairspray???

don't laugh....try hairspray if you've got it.

Try Oxyclean. It is safe and acts like bleach.

Turpentine or nail polish remover. They work on everything!

Okay - I've tried everything suggested here except the turpentine and the Goop.. No luck - my hands are still covered with ink!!! :(

I'm not sure what else to try at this point because my hands are already so cracked ,sensitive and sore from all of the cleaning I've been doing lately..

I think I may just have to wait for it to "wear off".. Oh joy..

When I unpack the printer, if I see it's still leaking ink (the ink cartridges are out of it and it was still leaking at the house) it looks like I'll be shopping for a new printer.. Drats!

It's really bad for your skin, but a quick bath in clorox should do it. Just make sure you moisturize heavily afterward and be prepared for a little flaking and peeling. My sister didn't wash her hands after applying self tanner and this was the only thing that took it off.

Oh Gosh C ann, I wouldn't suggest pure clorox. That could burn off the top layer of skin, an dif you rubbed your eyes with your fingers later, it could do damage. It's prob sticking so bad because as you said, your hands were already in rough shape. Clorox would not be good. Ink jet ink should come off with soap and water if caught fast. You might have to go with the goo gone.

Sounds like the "wear off" technique (sp) will have to do. I hate printer ink! If I was smart enough, I'd make house paint from printer ink and never have to paint again!

This may sound strange, but try oil. This works with getting oil based paint off your hands, so who knows, it may work on printer ink. Just spray some Pam on your hands and rub, then wash with dish soap and water.

okay try spray brake cleaner. not really sure but it has taken off alot of stuff I have gotten into.

please let me know.

have a better day.

I don't know if it will work on this but I have clean alot of things with baking soda. Make a mix of it & water and scrub your hands with it.
