Ok, we're going to WDW in October on the free dining plan, which is saving us 900 from going in November. That's the good news. We're getting married in Florida while we're there, so fiancee's mom is also coming down. We paid for her plane ticket and her deposit for the vacation package. So we have $1500 left to pay on ours which is due middle of August. His mom has $322 left to pay on hers.

Well, her brother lives with her and is SUPPOSE to give her so much per week to help out with bills. He just quit his job (again) so she doesn't know how she's going to come up with the rest of it. We were supposed to be getting paid back for the deposit of her trip as well, but that's not going to be happening. SO....we have $850 saved up to pay on our trip, but we'll still have $650 to come up with for ours and then probably $322 to pay for hers.

Now, my fiancee just invested $300 into some electronics things he can sell on ebay and get about $600-$800 for total. That was taken out of our Disney fund because we can easily double the money. I had no problem with that. We already do a lot of ebay, but I need some QUICK ways to come up with some money for our trip.

We also have to get our Wedding Rings (which some very close friends of ours ... like our second parents told us that because they have no kids, they want to give us her great grandparents wedding set), get down there, buy our wedding attire (very casual - shorts and tshirts LOL), and somehow have a reception when we come back.

It's going to cost us about $400 to get down there and back as we live in Iowa and we are not driving straight through with our 7 yr, 4 yr, and 9 month old kids. I don't know how much spending money we will have, but knowing that we were going, I have picked up a bunch of Disney toys and things for the kids that they don't know about, so we can give them to them down there. We are on the dining plan, and we can bring breakfast foods along, so we won't have to worry about that.

Well, to really cut the costs you could get married at home. Then all of your saved $ could go towards your trip. With 3 kids it sounds like you really need it. Can the mother pay any of it??

we're not having a DISNEY wedding, so it wouldn't cut any costs as far as that goes - just a quickie wedding outside of Disney :earsboy: His mom is going to go through her house to see if anything she has laying around in the attic can be sold on ebay for any amount of money, so we're hoping

How about calling a temp agency and working a temp job. Also sometimes those survey places pay a little bit of money. Also what about a seasonal job in your area. You would roughly need to may $455 a week...yard sale/Ebay?

Good news - she forgot about her "sign on bonus" from work that she will get at the beginning of August too, so that will pay her trip off. We do have a change jar going that I forgot about because we don't have it out in the open LOL...That will be enough to cover our travel expenses for there and back. SO...now all we have to come up with is another $650 minimum to go, but would like to have some emergency cash and some souvenir money as well if possible. But I know this much...if we can come up with the $650, we will go

SO...we may be tight on souvenirs, but I have some stashed away for the kids, so it's not a big deal there. And just found out that fiancee has just sold some of his things for $100 with about $700 worth more to sell that people are interested in. Which means at the moment, we're only $550 shy and we have 5 weeks to get the payment to WDW. I think we're going to go ahead and pay them what we have NOW so that way it doesn't sound so impossible - to see the numbers smaller makes a difference ;)

I second that idea of paying WDW now--spend that money on the trip before it "goes" somewhere else! If it weren't your wedding I would not advocate that, but I would say this is a special circumstance!
