Help: questions about fall free dining

Okay, I'm totally new at this but have been elected as the family "deal finder" on this vacation.

There is a group of 12 of us (8 adults, 3 five-year olds and a 1 year old) all planning a Disney vacation. We have reserved Nov 8 - Nov 15 staying at Art of Animation, 5 days of park passes & the Disney Dining plan.

I just found the dates for the fall free dining. (Just in time for the Food & Wine Festival, get a FREE Disney Dining Plan at Walt Disney World this fall when you book a full price Magic Your Way package and check in between 9/29/13 – 10/2/13, 10/18/13 – 11/2/13, 11/11/13 – 11/23/13 or 12/12/13 – 12/22/13.)

We have booked through AAA. I am wondering if there is anyway to have this offer applied to our package? If even its only partially applied to the dates included in the promo.

Your check in day needs to be within the dates offered for free dining. It doesn't look like you arrive within any of these dates. You could try and switch you dates.

Oh, and also you have to book directly with The Walt Disney travel company. I don't think you can get the free dining offer through AAA

AAA is an approved Disney TA, so you can get the deal through them, but as PP said, your CHECK-IN date must fall on the dates when free dining is available, so it won't work for you unless you can change your dates.

The Quick Service dining plan is NOT available in the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA. If you are staying in another type of room, the key is the CHECK IN date. Your entire trip qualifies on that date only!! Either you need to cancel the booking and rebook to arrive in the date range /OR/ to get around it you have to do a "split stay" at AoA. You need 2 reservations. The first for 3 nights and the second for 4 nights (NOT at a Little Mermaid room). You will save on the second ressie ONLY. If you have the std dining plan, you will have to pay the up-charge from QS - however, you will save money. I think you will need to update your band or room card when the new ressie kicks in. Be careful to tell Disney and at checkin that you want to keep your (non-Little Mermaid) rooms.

If you have flexibility with your dates and resort call AAA and see if they can find options that might work for you. Worth a call.

FD is not available for AoA period.. we were book in a suite but had to switch resorts for FD whick actually saved us 2k.

You can't get free dining at Art of Animation, you would have to switch to another resort that has availability. Apparently they have excluded the entire resort this time, not just Little Mermaid rooms.

Also, you can't check in on 11/8 and get free dining. The only date that counts is the day you check in, so if you check in the 8th you will not be able to get any free dining for the dates you stay past the 11th unless you book those dates on an entirely separate package reservation, check out and check back in.
