Help! Question about Cali Grill cannot find answer anywhere

I have an ADR for dinner for 2 at California Grill at 8:55 on my anniversary. Wishes is scheduled at 10 pm. I think we should be in good shape waiting for a window table during firework time, or at the very least being able to go out to the observation deck to watch them. What I am trying to figure out is what about the Electrical Water Pagaent? I have never seen it and always wanted to. It is scheduled to be at the Contemporary Resort immediately following Wishes.

Will we be able to see it from California Grill??

If not, where would we need to go from there to watch it?

In my experience you'll want to go to the observation deck to watch the fireworks. We had a perfect window table, but it was still a better view from the deck. You may be able to see the EWP off in the distance from the Cali Grill deck, but it will be very small and you won't hear the music. The best place to watch the EWP is from around the lagoon, near the boat docks from Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary, the Poly or the Grand Floridian. I'd probably go downstairs by the water at the Contemporary after the fireworks.

With an 8:55 ADR and 10:00 PM Wishes, it is highly unlikely you will get a window table, even if you were willing to wait for it. Most folks who have a window table at that time will stay put until after Wishes.
But you can watch from the Observation Deck
I think the EWP is really nice, but I would not rush my Ca Grille dinner to get outside to see it. Is there another night you could be at one of the places mentioned by the PP to watch it?

You can request a window table when you check in, but there is no guarantee that you will be able to get one. By 8:55 many of the window tables will be occupied by parties that will stay until after Wishes. Anyone dining can go out to the deck to view the fireworks; just let your server know and they will pace your meal accordingly. We like the view from the deck better than seeing it through the glass.

The Electrical Water Pageant is cute and can be seen from the restaurant, but since CG is on the fourteenth floor it is faraway, small and the music is hard to hear. A much better view is at ground level around the lagoon at one of the resorts.

Best to plan to see EWP another night. My fave places are the dock at Wilderness lodge and number one., the beach at the Poly. ..which could be nicely combined with TRADER SAMS!!

I've also had a decent view of EWP from in front of MK between the boat dock and the path toward the buses. I was returning from a Trails End dinner, just got off the boat in from of MK and was walking toward the bus area when I found myself in a nice little viewing area. Right place at the right time.

Thanks all for the feedback! Much appreciated Unfortunately no other night is an option. The kids will be at Lilo's Playhouse this night while we go out to celebrate our anniversary. Trying to make it extra special. It sounds like to get a good view we would need to rush downstairs after wishes and find the dock area. I guess its not work trying to do that and probably missing it anyway.
