when making this PS, i was told by WDW dining services to call the kitchen 7 days before arrival to let them know that someone in our party is fatally allergic to tree nuts. i called the kitchen this morning and was thrown off-guard when i was told that i need to speak to the chef the morning of the breakfast, not 7 days in advance. the kitchen could not understand why i was told to call in advance. has anyone else experienced this?

another question, we have a 9:50 seating for this breakfast. how much time is alloted to each party? if the last seating is at 10:10, does that mean we only have 20 minutes to eat and meet the characters? just trying to understand how PSs are set up and if there is a time limit to eating. thanks.

We too had a 9:50 PS for Norway. We were seated and the waiter immediately came over and brought us juice and pasteries. He said the princesses princess: would be along shortly. The princesses wander through the dinning area and stop at the tables one by one through the course of your breakfeast. They don't stay long, a little chit-chat :chat: , a pic or two and an autograph and that's it. At 10:30 they actually all left the dinning area. You could stay as long as you needed to finish your meal and they start cleaning up the rest of the dinning area. We actually left about 10:45. We were the last ones out. Everyone was very nice and told us to take our time finishing up.

I wouldn't think that you would be rushed or anything with the later seating - maybe someone will post that has done a later seating. I'm sure you will have a pleasant meal no matter what time.

I'm sorry - I do not know the answer about the special requests but if you called and they told you to call back that morning I'd go ahead and do that - I've heard that the Chef's at Disney are very accomadating. Enjoy!

When we went to CRT last Dec we both called and spoke to the chef at the restaurant. When I have called various restaurants about food allergies I have gotten different responses. I don't think that all the restaurants follow the same guidelines. I know it can be very frustrating, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. The chefs have always been very accomodating to all of my requests. HTH
